HOW IT WORKS

From gameplay to a clean clip
in three simple steps.

The replay buffer keeps only your chosen amount of recent footage. Save a replay when something happens, then trim it without opening a separate editor.

01

Start the buffer

Select your game or screen. The live source preview refreshes automatically while the app is visible, and system audio plus your microphone are captured together.

02

Save the moment

Press your save keybind without leaving the game. Enter any rolling buffer length from 1 through 120 minutes—no fixed presets required.

03

Cut and export

Click anywhere on the timeline, split the video, delete unwanted segments, set start and end points, then export everything that remains as one MP4.

BUILT-IN CLIP EDITOR

Keep the play.
Lose the waiting.

Every saved replay opens in a focused editor. The red playhead jumps exactly to the place you click, and your export contains only the segments you keep—with game and microphone audio intact.

  • Click-to-seek timelineSelect any time and instantly see its exact video frame.
  • Split + delete left or rightRemove everything on one side of the playhead.
  • Delete or restore segmentsUse the Delete key or the on-screen button.
  • Show in File ExplorerOpen the finished MP4 with the file selected.

THE CONTROLS YOU NEED

Your games. Your settings.

Replay stays out of the way while you play, but gives you precise control when you need it.

System + microphone audio

Record Windows app audio and your selected microphone into the same replay.

Unlimited push-to-talk keys

Add as many keyboard or mouse buttons as you want—or turn push-to-talk off so the microphone is always active.

Automatic updates

Replay checks for new versions in the background and lets you restart when an update is ready.

Configurable replay length

Choose from 1 to 120 minutes. Settings show an honest RAM estimate and the approximate buffer storage needed.

Your own clip folder

Choose where the library and exported MP4 files live on your PC.

Named and searchable clips

Give each replay a clear name, search by clip or game, and filter your library by date and a from/to time range.

English and Dutch

Switch the entire app between English and Nederlands from Settings.

4K

Up to 4K / 60 FPS

Choose Full HD, QHD or 4K UHD recording quality, with storage and memory estimates shown before you start.

FAQ

Good to know before you start.

Does Replay upload my gameplay?

No. Recording, editing and exporting happen locally on your Windows PC. Your clips stay in the folder you choose.

How much RAM does the buffer use?

The app shows an estimate for the selected quality: about 300 MB at 1080p, 430 MB at 1440p and 700 MB at 4K. The rolling video itself is written to disk, so a longer duration mainly increases storage use.

Can my microphone stay on all the time?

Yes. Disable push-to-talk in Settings and Replay records the microphone continuously. If enabled, you can add unlimited keyboard or mouse buttons.

How do updates work?

Replay automatically checks this website for release updates. When a new version is downloaded, the app offers a restart-and-install button.

What is the Wytzemodifications Downloader?

It is our small, branded Windows installer. It shows the Wytzemodifications license and downloads the current application package from this official website. A full offline installer is also available.

Where are my clips saved?

Choose any folder in Settings. Saved replays go into its Library folder, while finished MP4 files default to Exports.

Is the source code open source?

No. When source is shared, it is source-available under a strict Wytzemodifications license that prohibits redistribution, competing products and AI/ML training without written permission. Read the license.

What if Windows SmartScreen appears?

Version 1.0.7 uses a self-signed Wytzemodifications certificate. Windows does not publicly trust self-signed certificates, so it may still show “Windows protected your PC.” Choose More info and Run anyway only if you downloaded the installer from this official site.
